Note that we are closed for all public holidays throughout the year.

Summer opening hours - December to February

From Saturday 6th December till Sunday 8th February, the following library summer hours apply.

All Ara campuses are closed from 3pm on Friday 19th December to Sunday 11th January.

City campus

Madras Street, Christchurch

• Monday - Friday 9am – 5pm
• Saturday and Sunday closed

Manawa campus

276 Antigua Street, Christchurch

Help Desk: Monday to Thursday from 12th – 22nd January. Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm

Woolston campus

Ensors Road, Christchurch

• Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
• Friday 8am - 4.30pm
• Saturday and Sunday closed

Timaru campus

Arthur Street, Timaru

Closed from Saturday 13th December to Sunday 8th February.

Please note

The City campus Library in L Building (Rakaia Centre) is closed from Saturday 13th December.

The City campus Library in Tahatika (C Building) will open from Monday 12th January.

Normal library hours will resume from Monday 9th February
