Construction Level 2 (Youth Guarantee)
Take the first steps towards a career in the construction industry.
Youth Guarantee programmes are FREE* and a great way to learn practical skills and gain a qualification. You can apply for these options if you're 16 to 24 years of age and no longer at school, or you're planning on leaving school.
Largely practical in nature, based around simple construction projects such as: furniture making, painting and decorating skills, basic plastering and other hands on activities.
At the completion of the programme you'll have the basic capabilities needed to pursue further education or employment.

You’ll receive Ara Credits for this programme. Ara credits are tertiary study credits that can be used to enter further study at tertiary level in New Zealand.
Fees advised on Enrolment
If you're a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident and between 16 to 24 years old, you can apply to study if you have left school or are intending to leave school & you have not achieved the equivalent level NCEA qualification at school

Study pathways
On completion of this programme you can enrol in further study in your chosen trade, either alongside employment (apprenticeships), or full time pre-trade study.
